Many times, homeowners get very excited once they see their brand new windows, that they forget the instructions on how to tilt in the windows for cleaning.
Here’s a quick reminder:
1- Unlock the window and lift up approximately 3″.
2- Pull in the release latches at the middle of the window toward the center and pull back the window.
3- While holding open the bottom sash, ( it’s helpful to have someone else held open the sash the first time cleaning until you get more experienced) pull down the upper sash approximately 5″ and pull the release latches toward the center.
Caution: when cleaning your window, never let go of the sashes when in the open position.
When closing windows, just do in reverse order by closing the upper sash then the bottom.
